When Clayton came to Metro in May 2026, he was transitioning between halfway houses. A halfway house is designed to help people move toward a life of structure, responsibility, and employment. For someone navigating that transition, a job is an important part of establishing a routine, gaining experience, and working toward greater independence.
Clayton began his time with Metro as a Production Worker with a tier one automotive supplier in Lewisburg. He started on the production floor, where he had the opportunity to learn the job, build his skills, and show what he could contribute. Over time, that opportunity grew into something more.
Through his work and dedication, Clayton advanced to Master Operator and Trainer. Today, he helps train new employees, passing along the knowledge and experience he's gained himself. Clayton’s leadership team recognized his contributions and spoke highly of his performance. His growth eventually led to him being hired directly by the client.
His story reflects the value of seeing potential in people and giving them room to demonstrate it. An opportunity doesn't determine what someone will do with it, but it gives them a start. Clayton has continued to build on the opportunity Metro provided, earning recognition and taking on responsibilities that reflect his growth.
