When Justin Barnes and Tashia Bellamy started their assignments in Livonia, Michigan, they were both Operators focused on doing their jobs well.

But as the team grew to more than 30 associates, so did the need for additional support on the production floor. Metro needed people who could help keep associates organized, communication clear, and production moving. Justin and Tashia had both made strong impressions, but in different ways. Instead of choosing between them, Metro saw an opportunity for both employees to take their first steps into leadership.

On August 8, Justin and Tashia became Co-On-Site Support Operators, working alongside each other and training directly under our On-site Representative. Neither hesitated when given the opportunity. What excited them most wasn't just the possibility of moving up, but the chance to learn, take on greater responsibility, and continue growing with Metro. Their new roles gave us the support we needed while giving Justin and Tashia an opportunity to build leadership experience that could prepare them for future opportunities.

For Justin, the opportunity is another step in a five-year relationship with Metro. He has completed three assignments with the company, including his current assignment. Over the years, Justin has continued to embrace opportunities that have taken him to new assignments and experiences, building a reputation for showing up, putting in the work, and making the most of every opportunity. That consistency has helped him grow with Metro while creating opportunities that have made a meaningful difference for him and his family.

One of Justin's favorite parts of working with Metro has been what those opportunities have allowed him to do for his son. The stability he's gained through his assignments has given him the ability to teach his son about financial literacy, something he takes pride in. Now, after years of building experience and earning trust, Justin is taking another step forward. In his new role, Metro has recognized him for helping close communication gaps between the forming and assembly teams, helping create a more consistent flow of production for associates on the floor. His reliability, work ethic, and willingness to step in where he's needed have carried naturally into his new role.

Tashia's path to leadership has been different, but her opportunity reflects the same commitment to growth. She has worked with Metro since 2023 and began her assignment as an Operator. Her performance and the leadership qualities she demonstrated on the floor helped lead to the opportunity to take on more responsibility. Since stepping into her new role, she has helped organize associates on the assembly floor, making sure employees understand their instructions and have a clear understanding of the assembly process.

Tashia has stood out because of the way she combines organization with genuine care for the people around her. She works with associates who have different backgrounds and levels of experience, helping keep everyone informed and moving toward the same goal. Tashia has described the group as becoming more like a family than simply a group of coworkers, and that connection is reflected in the way she supports the team. Becoming a leader has also given her a new sense of what she is capable of, showing her that the experience and effort she has put into her assignments can open doors professionally.

Justin and Tashia have stepped into leadership in different ways. Justin has a knack for recognizing where communication can break down and finding ways to keep people and production moving in the same direction. Tashia brings a steady presence to the floor, helping people stay organized, understand what's expected, and feel supported. Together, they have given Metro the added support we needed, while also finding their own footing as leaders. For both, the opportunity represents something beyond a new title. Justin is building on the five years of experience and stability that work has provided for his family, while Tashia is discovering a new confidence in what she can accomplish. Their paths are different, but both have shown that when an opportunity comes their way, they're willing to step up and see where it leads.

We're proud to see Justin and Tashia take this next step with Metro and excited to see what comes next for both of them.
