Some careers start with a plan, but others unfold in ways no one could expect. When Tim first walked through Metro Services' doors over ten years ago, he had no idea how much the company would shape his journey. He didn't expect his first position would evolve into the journey that allowed him to feel at home in his career.
Over the years, Tim held seven different roles, each shaping his understanding of hard work, faith, and growth. "I didn’t know much about Metro when I started, but I quickly saw how much this company values its people. I feel blessed to be here every day."
One day, a husband and wife walked into Tim's local office, frustrated and discouraged. Multiple staffing agencies had turned them away because they didn’t own a car. They pleaded for a chance, promising they would never let Metro down. True to their word, they showed up, never missed a shift, and eventually secured full-time positions with our client. Years later, during a routine trip to Walmart, they recognized Tim. With an eager intent, they led him outside and proudly pointed to their new car. That encounter helped Tim fully understand the difference his work with Metro made in people's lives.
Even though he loved his position, Tim briefly left Metro for another opportunity. He explained that while he was happy to try something new, he missed the sense of belonging and the feeling of being part of a team that truly cared. Ultimately, he decided to return and it felt like coming home, a reminder that workplaces CAN provide more than just a job.
Throughout his career and life, Tim's late father was a guiding force in his character. "He showed me that putting God first in everything you do will lead you to the right decisions, whether or not it was the outcome you may have been hoping for. Always work hard, never lie, and treat everyone better than the way you want to be treated. I miss him every day of my life but know he is in a much better place now with no more suffering and I will see him again."
Tim believes that challenges are a part of life but facing them is much easier when surrounded by the right people. To him, the greatest resource isn't a tool or a strategy, it’s the people around him. Whether he’s seeking guidance, a fresh perspective, or simply a moment of prayer, he knows his team will always be there to support him.
