Metro Services is looking to immediately hire Travel Cycle Counters for a Manufacturing facility in Pell City, AL. The Cycle Counter is responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy through a formal cycle counting process within an SAP environment. This is a temp/contract position. Apply Now!

Duties for this position include:

  • Cycle counting for inventory accuracy
  • Checks for material shortages
  • Work with Warehouse Manager in setting and monitoring standards.
  • Coordinates with warehouse management to supply production in the requisitioning and following up of materials needed for production
  • Coordinates with the Team Lead the activities within the warehouse to ensure objectives are accomplished
  • Maintain preventative maintenance, environmental, health, and safety programs
  • Demonstrate equipment operations and work and safety procedures to new employees, or act as mentor to new employees during their training
  • Follow all written procedures for receiving, shipping, and storage of all WKW materials
  • Must maintain a valid forklift license
  • Labeling, verification, and validation

Daily Per Diem


1st Shift
Monday - Friday
OT on Saturday and Sunday when needed
6:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

All candidates must have an expert level of the following skillset:

  • Material Handling, inventory management & control, and logistics.
  • Capable of operating multiple styles/types of material handling equipment
  • Ability to track, investigate, and make corrections to inventory within an SAP environment
  • Duties may include verifying part counts within box, container, or pallet
  • Will typically require some material handling experience (forklift, man lift, narrow aisle experience)
  • Must be able to read and account for part numbers
  • Use of technology such as scanning equipment and label printers
  • Minor knowledge of OSHA and workplace health and safety programs
  • Layered Process Audit
  • Cycle Counts
  • Participation in problem-solving/corrective action activities

Successful candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Clean Drug Screen/Background
  • Shipping and Receiving experience
  • Experience preferred in an automotive manufacturing environment
