Assemblers and Braiders In Fargo, ND
Metro Services is seeking to immediately hire Assemblers and Braiders for a Manufacturing company in Fargo, North Dakota. The Assembler is responsible for assembling wires into a harness. The Braider is responsible for applying braids to assemble harnesses and other miscellaneous jobs.

Hours: Full Time
Duties for Assembler include:
- Assemble wires into a harness (taping, twisting, hanging, soldering, applying heat shrink, drilling, fastening)
- Meet all quality standards
- Perform electronic testing and interpret results
- Identify and tag problems
- Assemble smaller non-harness components
- Lift bins of wires
- Contact supervisor with problems
- Keep work area clean
Duties for Braider include:
- Operate braiding machines (one or two at a time)
- Use hot cutters to seal braid ends
- Change spools of braid
- Lift containers of harnesses up to 70 pounds
- Check harnesses against the production card or print for instructions and requirements for each part number
- Meet all quality standards
- Contact supervisor with problems and follows instructions
- Keep work area clean
Compensation (USD):
1st Shift
$15.00/hour
2nd Shift
$16.00/hour
Schedule:
1st Shift
Monday - Friday
7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
MANDATORY OVERTIME
2nd Shift
Monday - Friday
4:00 p.m. - 12:30 a.m.
MANDATORY OVERTIME
Saturday
7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
After two weeks, will add 2 hours to the end of the shift (10-hour days)
Not yet scheduled or as directed by Supervisor
Successful candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Must be able to discern all colors, numbers, and letters
- Must be able to read at a 7th-grade level and write legibly
- Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide
- Must be able to communicate in English
- Must be able to stand all day (8 hours)
- Must be able to do repetitive motions 8 hours per day
- Must have good manual dexterity and strength
- Must be able to lift 50 - 70 pounds
- Must be able to understand wire gauge sizes, color-coded and marked wires
- Must have good eye-hand-foot coordination
- Must be able to move back and forth over a 10-foot course four times in a 60 second time period
- Must be able to interpret test results and correct mistakes
- Must be safety conscious and follow all health and safety guidelines
