Travel Molding Operator In Norwalk, OH

Metro Services is seeking to immediately hire Travel Molding Operators for a company in the Automotive Industry in Norwalk, OH. The Molding Operator sets up and is responsible for the operation of the Molding Line according to safety, quality, and production standards while meeting productivity and efficiency requirements. Hours: Full Time
Required Education: High School Diploma or GED

Duties for this position include:

  • U-Nut Assembly
  • Secondary Assembly
  • Verifies part quality using gauges or fixtures
  • Maintains 5S standards throughout workstation while complying with environmental goals and objectives
  • Other duties as assigned

Compensation (USD):
1st Shift
$14.00/hour

2nd Shift
$14.50/hour

3rd Shift
$14.75/hour

Daily Per-Diem for all shifts

Schedule:
General Shifts: w/ 30-minute lunch

1st Shift
Monday - Friday
6:00 a.m. - 2:10 p.m.

2nd Shift
Monday - Friday
2:00 p.m. - 10:10 p.m.

3rd Shift
Sunday - Thursday
10:00 p.m. - 6:10 a.m.

OVERTIME MANDATORY - Working 7 days a week

All candidates must have an expert level of the following skillset:

  • Understands Production Flow
  • Understands Quality requirements
  • Ability to run a water-jet
  • Strong verbal skills
  • Understands how to read an ODS
  • Able to work independently and within workgroups/teams and remain self-motivated with minimal direct supervision
  • Excellent attendance and adherence to company policies

Successful candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent in experience or education
  • Proven successful experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Authorization to work and reside in the United States
  • Must wear required PPE
  • 20/20 vision (with or without corrective lenses)
  • Ability to differentiate colors, particularly red, green & yellow (normal color vision)
  • Normal hearing ability (with or without corrective device)
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing plant environment
  • Ability to lift and carry items for short distances, less than 10 pounds – frequently, less than 20 pounds – occasionally, and greater than 20 pounds – infrequently
  • Small motor skills including the ability to grasp, control, and use objects or tool
  • Fine motor skills including manipulation of small objects
